Late Night show in search of Aurora Borealis
When the world is asleep, we, brave Northern Light hunters are ready for a midnight adventure. Buckle up and relax in our luxurious, heated AURORA-Wagon as we transport you to the best vantage points for witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis. We´ll be gliding over frozen lakes, through misty forests, and deep snow, and with a little luck all beneath a sky shimmering with moonlight, stars and maybe even Northern Lights. Along the way, we´ll have some warm drinks and a lovely snack in a lovely lantern-lit kota while the guide will tell you more about the Northern Lights as well as help you use your own camera how to capture them.

Arctic Night Snowshoeing
Experience the magic of winter during this snowshoeing adventure! Breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of the Norhtern night as you explore off-the-beaten-path locations that are often inaccessible in winter. Equipped with snowshoes, you’ll walk over up to 1.5 meters of snow, guided by a knowledgeable wilderness expert who will share insights about the local flora and fauna. As it´s nighttime, keep your eyes on the skies for a chance to witness the breathtaking Northern Lights illuminating the night. This 3-4 km trek is suitable for those with normal fitness levels, and children ages 5 and older are welcome to join in this unforgettable winter journey!

Evening River Floating
Drift away in the gentle-flowing rapids that remain unfrozen even on the coldest winter days! Enjoy a mesmerizing 15-minute float, surrounded by stunning snow-covered shores and passing clouds.
After your thrilling adventure, enjoy hot drinks to warm you up before returning to Ruka.
