Personal data is obtained from:

  • The data subject directly in connection with the online store, online forms, email and telephone communications, meetings, bookings, and the use of services
  • Tour operators, travel agencies, and other partners involved in the customer’s booking or service arrangements
  • LSJ Group Oy and its business unit Rukan Kuksa
  • Publicly available contact information sources of companies and organisations
  • Other separately specified sources with the customer’s consent.

Salonki Travels Oy may receive from LSJ Group Oy the customer’s name, company or organisation, contact details, customer acquisition source, as well as necessary information concerning the customer’s requests for quotation, bookings, orders, purchase history, interests, and service preferences. Information concerning marketing consents, marketing opt-outs, and customer communications may also be received.

Salonki Travels Oy processes personal data received from LSJ Group Oy for customer relationship management, customer communications, planning and coordinating services for the customer, and lawful cross-selling and additional sales.

Legal Bases for the Processing of Personal Data

Depending on the purpose of processing, the processing of personal data is based on:

  • Entering into or performing a contract with the customer
  • Compliance with the legal obligations of Salonki Travels Oy
  • The customer’s consent
  • The legitimate interests of Salonki Travels Oy in managing customer relationships, responding to enquiries, developing its services, and offering customers services related to their previous interactions or expressed interests.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, Salonki Travels Oy assesses the necessity of the processing, the customer’s reasonable expectations, the impact of the processing, and the customer’s rights through a separate balancing test.

Email and SMS marketing directed at consumers is based on prior consent or another legal basis expressly permitted by applicable law. The data subject has the right to object to the processing of their personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time.

Your personal data may be disclosed within the organisation of the data controller and its subsidiaries and sister companies and to our collaboration partners for the realisation of the purposes described herein. Otherwise, data is only disclosed to the extent permitted or required by law.
