Day 1

A private airport transfer is arranged and takes you to the accommodation of your choice in Rukan Salonki.

SaunaTour (17.30)

Your stay begins with an introduction to Finnish sauna, as you get to experience our SaunaTour, guided by an authorized sauna guide. You will get an understanding for the Finnish way to relax – could you have a better start for your short break! The SaunaTour is done privately for your party at the Starsauna of Rukan Salonki

The following day you get to experience the top activities in the area.

Day 2

Two hours snowmobile safari Introduction 20km (10.00)

This snowmobile safari gives you good basic skills for snowmobiling. Before the start our guide gives you a full safety briefing and introduction for driving. After learning the snowmobile instructions, we drive a 20 km long tour. The safari goes through the stunning snowy forests. During the safari we will have a break with coffee / tea and a sweet bun. Duration is about 2,5 – 3 hours.

Day 3

OPTIONAL: Morning feeding of reindeer and reindeer ride 1,5 km (09:00)

Available for min 4 adults!

A short transfer takes you to a family owned traditional reindeer farm. There one of the reindeer herders is greeting you on arrival and takes you to the corral with hundreds of reindeer, they are waiting for their breakfast. Together with the reindeer herders you get to feed the reindeer and also take pictures of the unique moment when being surrounded by a herd of reindeer.

The reindeer herder picks one reindeer to join you as you walk from the corral to the kota, where campfire coffee is served with Lappish cookies, “kampanisu”. While enjoying the coffee, the reindeer herder tells the story of the year of the reindeer, in short what it is to live with the reindeer here in the north. As we come to the reindeer, it is time for a sleigh-ride in the gorgeous winter wonderland of the reindeer farm. The 1,5km long sleigh-ride follows the riverside to the old farm forest. Duration about 2,5 hrs

Late night show with Aurora Borealis (daily 22:00)

When others are in bed, we brave Northern Lights hunters are ready for midnight adventure. Fasten your seatbelts, relax and enjoy warm, heated luxurious AURORA-Wagon ride. We travel to best location to see Aurora Borealis, true frozen lakes, misty forest and deep snow. Whit a little luck, you`ll travel under a bright sky lit by the moon and the stars. Perhaps the Aurora Borealis – the Northern Lights – will appear to show you the way. The best time to see Northern Lights is late evening, around midnight. We will enjoy warm drinks and small snacks under the northern sky around a fire.

If you don`t have own camera, we will take pictures of you and Northern Lights, and will sent them to you. And we will help you to take pictures of Northern Lights if you have camera, but you don`t know how to use it.

Day 4

Husky Safari 10km (10.00)
First things first, on arrival at the husky farm we will start by learning how to steer and drive i.e. mush the husky sleigh. After the lesson we step in the sledges, pulled by teams of huskies (2 persons / sledge). You get to be both musher and passenger during the safari. Then we take off for a beautiful to husky ride through the snowy forests. After the husky safari we will enjoy coffee/tea and snacks back at the farm. Length of the husky safari is about 10km, duration of the complete program is about 2-3 hours.
